Overview
Just north of San Juan region, La Rioja sits higher in the Andes, with vineyards ranging from 2,600 – 4,600 feet about sea-level.
Famous for Torrontes, which accounts for approximately 40% of La Rioja’s wine grapes under vine, the region produces elegant whites and high-quality sparkling wines. However red varietals, Bonarda, Malbec, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon can also be found here.
