Field Sales Representative -NY/Boston
Position Overview:
This position is a field role that will assist the company in meeting and exceeding its financial plan while maximizing the distribution, sales, and marketing of the Vision Wine & Spirits brands.  The Field Sales Manager will operate as a regional dedicated resource focused on account activation and brand-building field activity.  Reporting directly to the Division Manager, the Field Sales Manager will work cooperatively with the Vision Management Team, assisting with identifying, activating, and supporting key field activity across all distribution channels.  The Field Sales Manager will be responsible for accelerating brand growth and development through sustained account activation in his or her assigned regional territory.  The Field Sales Manager will be responsible for adhering to a spending budget while achieving sales and profit goals. 
 
Key Accountabilities:
  • This position is a 100% field position focused on activating new accounts and driving sales in an assigned regional area.
  • Organize & execute staff training and brand education
  • Activate new accounts both independently and in coordination with the Division Manager.
  • Work with distribution partners to coordinate and execute regular work-withs to help increase distribution and brand activity in key accounts.
  • Work in conjunction with distribution partners’ national account management team to secure new business and regional chain activity.
  • Deliver sales results according to the goals and metrics established by the Division Manager in conjunction with Vision Management.
  • Assist the Division Manager in leading regional presell activity on limited, vintage-dated, allocated, and high-value items to reduce Vision’s on hand inventory and increase sales.
  • To maximize all brand activity in key regional markets by utilizing the tools and tactics that Divisional Management have developed with national distributor partners.
  • Manage an annual travel and expense budget in accordance with Vision policies.
  • Assist the Division Manager in the organization and execution of supplier visits, including market work, and national event activity.
  • Participate in on-going training with the Vision Divisional Management team, including supplier-led trainings where appropriate, and assisting the Divisional Management team to take portfolio products to the trade with expertise and dependable literacy.
 
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficient in marketing and selling strategies
  • Able and willing to travel overnight as needed
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Exceptional ability to build relationships with strong interpersonal skills

Education/Experience/Training:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, degree in Business, Marketing and/or Communications preferred
3+ years of direct experience marketing and selling wine and/spirits in the beverage alcohol industry
