Assistant Vice President of Pricing
Position Overview:   Responsible for the pricing / programming policies and procedures for all Martignetti selling divisions in MA with a focus on standardization, timing, and practical application to achieve budgeted sales while identifying and executing opportunities to enhance gross profit margin, and interfaces with all Sales Vice Presidents and Portfolio Managers.
 
Key Accountabilities:
  • Set standards for program submission across the company which are in line with overall divisional plan
  • Re-establish supplier rules of engagement, deadlines, etc. 
  • Pricing programs -approval
  • Streamline pricing program design options
  • Establish internal systems to measure program effectiveness
  • Work toward better long-range planning of programs, pricing, incentives to achieve budgeted goals
  • Full margin, pricing, allowance analysis; eliminate waste, non-effective activity
  • Review internal billback processing for efficiency and accuracy
  • Portfolio Manager seminars and training
  • Review and identify margin enhancement opportunities
    • Challenge long held pricing guidelines, programs, and strategies for applicability, effectiveness, profit contribution
    • Work to ensure and improve margin visibility, net of billback allowances, with VP’s
  • Establish and enforce pricing guidelines

Education/Experience/Training:
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required; graduate degree preferred
  • 10 years’ experience in three-tier supplier to wholesale, wholesale to retail, retail to consumer—pricing architecture.
  • Experience in program design, supplier supports and funding. Sales experience preferred but not required
  • Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
