Assistant Vice President, Finance
Position Overview:
Under the Direction of the Vice President of Finance, this position will be responsible for the financial oversight and controls of the cash management system for the Company, corporate and individual tax reporting and accounting for the family business.  
Key Accountabilities:
  • Manage the daily cash borrowings and disbursements of the Company
  • Establish proper controls to ensure security of those assets
  • Responsible for corporate and individual income taxes
  • Oversee the accounts payable function
  • Manage the family business
  • Manage supplier and broker collections
  • Maintain the corporate records
  • Assist with corporate insurance
  • Work with AVP of Accounting and Auditors on yearly financial audit
  • Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • 10+ years’ experience in key accountabilities. 
  • Ability to establish, direct, and integrate the business, finance, and programs of a major private industry organization
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
  • Knowledge of the structure, operations and requirements of federal, state, and local financial regulatory and funding agencies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively at every level of the organization
  • Knowledge and understanding of the mission, goals, organizational structure, and operational/financial infrastructure of the organization
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems and to foster a cooperative work environment
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals
  • Strategic planning skills
  • BA in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or MBA strongly preferred
